This week

This week I have to eat at my table. So many time, I will eat on the couch while watching tv or playing on the computer. I decided this needed to end. So, I can only eat while sitting down at my kitchen or dining room table. I have to concentrate on my food and not be distracted by other things. That means no tv, reading, or internet. I have done it for the last 2 days, and it is HARD. I never realized how much I don't eat at the table. It has helped curb my eating. I have to decide if a snack is worth sitting down and eating. Most of the time the answer is no.

I did a 3o minute program on my treadmill on Saturday. No exercise since then. I really need to work out.

I started tracking my food in SparkPeople today. I had a failure during lunch. I ate so much. I ate 1357 calories during lunch :-0 (that's my shocked face). Normally I would have given up and eaten junk the rest of the day. I decided to buckle down and not give up. I had to keep my eating in check during dinner. We had taco salad, so I stayed away from the chips. I was able to end the day with 1707 calories. My calorie range is 1370-1720, so I barely squeezed in. I am super proud of myself. I am hungry right now, but I think I want to snack more than I really need food.

Tomorrow will be more balanced meals.

No exercise for me today.

End of Day 2

I'm about to watch Twilight so this post is going to be short.

Breakfast - Smoothie - cottage cheese, frozen strawberries, milk, agave nectar, protein powder
Lunch - Leftovers from dinner last night
Snack - Pumpernickel bread w/cream cheese
Dinner - Grilled london broil, artichoke dipped in butter & mayonnaise, Hawaiian rolls

The smoothie was super filling. The boys had waffles with strawberries, whip cream, and syrup. I was so proud of myself for eating healthy. Dinner wasn't really healthy with all the butter and mayonnaise.

No exercise on Sunday

Day 1 (again) End

I did okay today. There is always room for improvement. At least I exercised. That is more than I did yesterday, and I ate less junk today.

Breakfast - Smoothies w/oatmeal, milk, almond butter, agave nectar, banana
Snack - String Cheese
Lunch - Sandwhich - Pumpernickle bread w/tomato, red pepper, cucumber, cream cheese, alfalfa sprouts,
Snack - Lays Limon chips (not my finest moment)
Dinner - Chicken Dish - rice, pasilla chilies, chicken, onions, sour cream, cotija cheese. Watermelon
Snack - Frozen yogurt (yummy, but probably not necessary)

Exercise - I walked about 2.3 miles in 47 minutes.

Day 2, here I come!

I'm Baaaack!

I changed the title to Eating Well & Exercising. The whole clean eating thing isn't for me. I will use some of its ideas, but I think my family would revolt if I tried to do it full time. D saw the recipe book not too long ago and asked if we could throw it away. I tried one more recipe from it and it didn't go over too well.

Today is the start of my new Eating Well campaign. Pregnancy and bed rest did not agree with me. H is the cutest girl ever, but I am now living the effects of not controlling my eating and laying in bed for almost 4 months.

I WILL update my eating and exercise each day. For breakfast this morning I had a smoothie. I am about to go for a walk (I'm out of shape).

Yay for the new me!
